Horses have been an important part of the Portuguese culture for many years, and the native Lusitano is world renowned as the ultimate bull-fighting horse, and with the natural physical ability for working equitation and high school dressage. More importantly to us it is an extremely rideable horse for all abilities, suitable for competitive and pleasure riding. We have set up a small equestrian centre here in central Portugal, so that people can come to see and enjoy a variety of Lusitano horses, combine a holiday with riding, or perhaps visit with a view to buying one of these wonderful horses.

On our 3 hectare farm, 'Quinta do Cavalinho', we have a yard of 8 stables with excellent facilities for keeping and training competition horses, including a full sized 20 x 60 arena and extensive turnout paddocks.

We are able to offer the following:

1. A variety of tailor made riding holidays to suit your requirements, using our Lusitanos for hacking and lessons;
2. Lusitanos for sale that have been produced for sale here;
3. Training and development of horses kept here on a livery basis;
4. Accommodation for people coming to look at horses, or for those also wishing to make a holiday of their visit to central Portugal;
5. Tuition for children and beginners upwards;
6. Short hacks up to 2 hours in the surrounding lanes and beautiful forests;
7. Sale of hand made riding chaps, Portuguese horse equipment, and hand painted name tiles.
